My 2025 Word of the Year…
Hey loves! A few years back, I decided to choose a Word of the Year instead of making New Year’s resolutions, and I’ve been loving it! I’m really excited about the word I’ve chosen for this year and how it’s going to transform my life. After a lot of prayer, I feel like God has finally confirmed my word for the coming year!
Instead of making a New Year’s resolution that I probably wouldn’t stick to, my Word of the Year helps guide my decisions and keep me moving toward my goals. I hope you’re all either preparing or taking the time to relax as needed. I’ve been up since 5:00 AM, praying, planning, and getting ready to put my goals into action. But it doesn’t feel too impressive since I went to bed before 9 PM! I’m wrapping up this year by being intentional about my rest, my routines, and resetting my focus on what really matters.
The word that God put on my heart was… Bold. Bold defined
“showing the ability to take risks, confident and courageous”
AUSTRALIAN POCKET OXFORD DICTIONARY, SIXTH EDITION, 2007
I will be adding “I am bold” to my affirmations that I journal daily.
I have knowledge, skills, and experience to share that can, will and does help others.
The verse I have chosen for BOLD– One Word for 2025 is: So we can confidently say, 'The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
Hebrews 13:6 ESV
So, I confidently say, that the Lord if my helper; therefore I will not be afraid. For God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7
THE WHY
I thought about choosing GRATITUDE as my word because that’s been such an important theme in my life for the past few months. But that word didn’t make my spirit sing.
When I reviewed the year, I could see that I accomplished a lot but there were many things I didn’t achieve and most of those things required me putting myself out there more, pitching my work and my ideas in new spaces and places. And in order to shoot my shot, I must be BOLD.
Here’s the thing, I’m a King kid! In a world often filled with uncertainty, finding courage to move forward often hinges on one’s FAITH! So despite how I may feel I will BOLDLY declare… MY FAITH OVER MY FEARS.
THE HOW
And I’ve realized that being grateful takes boldness too. Only a bold woman can accept that grief and gratitude can coexist. Only a bold woman can stop waiting for the other shoe to drop and choose to be grateful for her life and enjoy her life without fear. I’m looking forward to having a BOLD year, breaking out of being small, and being the best me I can possibly be!!!
This coming year, I want to boldly live a more productive, purpose-driven life:
1. Intentionality
2. Simplicity
3. Originality
Always remember that you are unique and valuable. Your journey is your own, and the choices you make and the process you follow are tailored to who you are. Don’t let the noise of the crowd influence your mindset. Keep in mind that community and crowd are not the same; God has a specific plan for you. When you embrace Jesus as the way, you open yourself to a path filled with purpose, clarity, and joy. The world can be loud, but that’s not the path for you. Give yourself permission to trust God and let the Holy Spirit guide you step by step. If you want to learn differently, you need to take different actions. The power to change your life is in your hands—it's all about choice.
MY ENCOURAGEMENT TO YOU
I chose the word ‘BOLD’ as my 2025 word of the year. In 2025 I want to learn to live with boldness and conviction. Bold steps of faith, bold action plans, bold prayers.
RECENTLY, I’VE BEEN PREPARING AND GOD HAS BEEN REMINDING ME~ Nah, BIGGER!
Friend, walk BOLDLY in who God called you to be! Maybe you need to hear this message too!
We don’t need to rely on our own strength or our own resources. We just need to be faithful and God will be fruitful!
WE JUST NEED TO REMEMBER THAT GREATER IS HE ON THE INSIDE OF US THEN HE THAT IS IN THE WORLD!
I need this message daily, so I am spending all of 2025 focusing on it!
As one year closes and another begins, it’s natural to pause and reflect... What worked? What didn’t? Where did God show up in ways you didn’t expect? And how can you invite Him into your dreams for the year ahead?
This season of transition is a gift—a chance to let go of what’s holding you back, seek God’s vision for your future, and step into 2025 with hope and purpose. Let’s take a journey of reflection and dreaming together, grounded in Scripture and guided by faith.
Friend, it’s time to get off the emotional roller coaster of doubt, guilt, and sabotage when it comes to your God-given goals. Success is not a worldly pursuit—it’s God’s will when it’s aligned with His Word. And now, you don’t have to wonder if it’s okay to succeed, or how to get there.
That’s why I God left his word—to show you how to eliminate the stress, find clarity, and step into the success God has planned for you.
I encourage you as you take actionable steps to overcome doubt, discouragement, and self-sabotage.
So, let me ask you: Where do you want to be this time next year? God has called you for such a time as this. Don’t let fear, doubt, or delay hold you back.
It’s time to BOLDLY step into God’s success for your life. Let’s do this together!
What word are you choosing for this year? I’d love to know what your Word of the Year is and why you chose it. Leave it here in the comments to share with our community. Speaking it is a beautiful way to get things flowing. I’ll be praying for you as you embark on this new year! I pray that the Lord helps and guides you on this journey called life.
Be blessed, loves! And know that you too are BOLD!
